Helpline number for Delhi Women

The Government of Delhi has announced a three digit helpline number for women in suffering. This three digit code numbers is set as ‘181’ and it will be functional within a week i.e at the end of this month before 31st December, 2012 and will be functional from 1st January, 2013.
Women protection Helpline number is set up at Chief Minister’s Office at Delhi Secretariat after the incident of Gang rape and protest in the city. The Delhi Government has announced that women can seek any assistance from law enforcing agencies by a mode to contact CM Office through three digit phone number ‘181’ allotted for Delhi Women who are in suffering.
The earlier number ‘167’ has been changed to ‘181’ and it’ll be more functional which is linked to the control room and easier to recollect the information via helpline operation.
