BSNL 250 Minutes per Day FUP for Unlimited prepaid pans and STVs

Fail Usage Policy BSNL 250 Minutes per day limit introduced for existing Unlimited voice Prepaid mobile plans and STVs.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced to implement Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for Prepaid recharge plan vouchers available in all telecom circles.

One of the best 4G Technology service provider in India BSNL has been offering affordable aptariff and unlimited freebies in both voice and data segment through prepaid plan vouchers Pratibhaplus 49, Jeevitha 79, Ananth 105, Amulya 119, Plan 171, Ananth plus 328, Plan 498, Plan 599, Plan 899, Plan 1001, Plan 1312 and Plan 1399 across Andhrapradesh Telecom and Telangana Telecom circles.

After entrance of Reliance Jio in the mobile market the Unlimited feature was implemented and habituated to all mobile users but later on this benefit is diluted. To sustain telecom companies in the Indian mobile market this Unlimited feature must be restricted somewhere so that these telecom operators generate revenue to offer more telecomtariff for mobile customers.

BSNL is one of those telecom company also implemented the same Unlimited features in Voice STVs and Data STVs segment to its customers offering affordable rate packs in competition to Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and others across India.

Now, BSNL is moving in Financial crisis has decided to to CAP Unlimited features in voice segment as it already implemented in BSNL broadband plans as well in Mobile Internet segment by restricting speed after usage of daily limit.

BSNL made it clear that to increase companies revenue and ARPU reducing the validity and restricting voice calling minutes upto 250 minutes per day. In other-hand private telecom players Vodafone, Airtel and Idea Cellular also implemented the same restriction limiting to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week, but it has been removed now to compete with Reliance Jio in the mobile market.

The reason behind Airtel, Vodafone and idea Cellular for removing the per day minutes voice calling CAP that they are offering VoLTE service to the customers.

However, If a customer is using more than 250minutes outgoing minutes [(Local + STD + Outgoing Roaming) (On-net/Off-net) as per Unlimited recharge benefits] in a day. Then, after consumption of 250 minutes, the customer will be charged at the base tariff of the plan for the rest of the day till
midnight 0.00hrs.
