BSNL Validity Extension and Migration for prepaid recharge tariff plans

Latest BSNL validity extension for prepaid recharge plans with unlimited benefits for voice calls, data usage and message sending (SMS).

Public Telecommunications company Bhart Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) facilitates full access to its customers to manage prepaid main account using short message sending USSD codes and short dialing USSD codes from mobile.

In this article bsnl tariff listed few mobile recharge plans for prepaid customers how to extend their prepaid plans after expiring basic plans and how to migrate from one plan to another using simple way of using short message / dialing numbers.

BSNL prepaid mobile customers can extend the validity of their plan by recharge without any break of the plan voucher recharged earlier on prepaid main account available in each telecom circle for subscription at different rates. 

BSNL recently carried out some telecom tariff plans review for its prepaid mobile customers across India and some of the existing plans / coupons have been withdrawn while few unpopular vouchers / plans have been revised on their features or validity period according to the 43rd amendment of telecom tariff instructions / guidelines of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India issued from time to time.

Earlier, there was an option to increase the validity of the prepaid mobile plan by recharging with balance cards i.e with top-up coupons. Now BSNL has retired that facility as well and customers need to reload their prepaid sim numbers with valid plan vouchers using online / physical / self recharge offers. 

BSNL has a variety of different validity recharge offers and each is different in features / benefits / freebies and validity period. As we reported last week, BSNL has also reduced the validity of one of its most popular plans, Revised Mithram Plus 109, to 30 days.

How to check the validity of my BSNL prepaid mobile sim number?

To check the validity of the any prepaid existing plan, simply dial *123 # from your BSNL Prepaid phone. After dialing this USSD short code, you will receive details about your existing bsnl tariff plan, prepaid number status, balance in the prepaid main account, expiration date of prepaid plan, GP1 and GP2 dates (Grace period dates), etc. (Example as shown below).

How to check the details of the active STVs on my BSNL prepaid mobile number and their freebies and validity period?

BSNL Prepaid Mobile customers can easily get details of main account balance, voice STV balance, data balance, registered friends and family numbers, balance request by SMS, etc. By dialing USSD short codes. 

Customers can also activate prepaid mobile plans and STV by sending an SMS using Toll free short USSD code 123. The SMS must contain the syntax for the coupon or STV of the corresponding plan and the customer must have sufficient prepaid balance to take advantage of this feature.
