BSNL is rapidly expanding its fiber optic connections (FTTH) with the help of local cable operators (LCOs), telecommunications infrastructure providers (TIPs) and multiple system operators (MSOs). BSNL's IPTV services will also start very soon, which will also result in increased revenue and customer acceptance.
BSNL's IPTV services will change the rules of the game in the fiber broadband segment, as they do not consume customer data and there will be no bandwidth congestion for the simultaneous use of broadband and IPTV services (although watch HD TV channels).
