New BSNL Air Fiber Broadband plans for Public Data Office (pdos)

Public Telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL has announced the launch of new Broadband plans  "PDO BASIC 499 and PDO PREMIUM 999" over Fibre / air Fibre for Public Data offices to offer internet service through WiFi hotspots for end users on regular basis in all Telecom telecom circles (Except Andaman and Nicobar Islands).

What is the Public Data Office (PDOs)?

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the DoT proposal for the establishment of public Wi-Fi networks by public data office aggregators (PDOAs) to provide public Wi-Fi service through data offices public (PDO). ) distributed throughout the country to accelerate the spread of broadband Internet services through the country's public Wi-Fi network. There will be no charge for providing broadband internet over these public Wi-Fi networks.

The proposal will promote the growth of public Wi-Fi networks in the country and, in turn, will help the proliferation of broadband internet, improve income and employment, and empower people.

What is the Public Data Office?

• Public Data Office (PDO) - Will establish, maintain and operate only WANI compliant Wi-Fi access points and provide broadband services to subscribers.
• Public Data Office Aggregator (PDOAs): It will be a PDO aggregator and will perform the functions related to Authorization and Accounting.
• Public Data Office Registration?
• Application provider: will develop an application to register users and discover nearby WANI compatible Wi-Fi access points and display them within the application to access the Internet service.
• Central Registry: Will keep details of application providers, PDOAs and PDOs. To begin with, the central registry will be managed by C-DoT.

What are the Main Objectives of PDo and PDOA

While no registration is required for PDOs, PDOAs and application providers will register with the DoT through the DoT's online registration portal (SARALSANCHAR; https://saralsanchar.gov.in), without paying any fees. days of application.

BSNL Bharat Fibre PDO Basic broadband plan details:

BSNL already offering Bharat air fibre broadband plans for its internet users in all telecom circles where the Public Hotspots are installed. Now, BSNL through Government of India's project Prime Minister Public Wi-Fi Access Network Interface will be known as PM-WANI or PM-WANI eco-system to provide no License fee Broadband Internet services in the remote areas through these Public Hot-spots.

Two new Bharat Fibre / BSNL Air Fibre broadband plans introduced "PDO Basic" with Rs.499 monthly rental and "PDO Premium" at Rs.999 for Public Data Office of rural areas in all circles (except Andaman-Nicobar circles).

BSNL Air Fibre PDO Basic Broadband plan details: For Wifi Customers paying Rs.499 monthly charges can access Unlimited WiFi Internet usage at 50Mbps bandwidth with best effort download speed (subject to technical feasibility).

BSNL provides advance monthly rental option i.e ONLY Annual payment option and Unlimited free voice calling option 24hours to any network in India for Local/STD calls.

BSNL Air Fibre PDO Premium Broadband plan details: For Wifi Customers paying Rs.999 monthly charges can access Unlimited WiFi Internet at 100Mbps bandwidth with best effort download speed (subject to technical feasibility)

BSNL provides advance monthly rental option i.e ONLY Annual payment option and Unlimited free voice calling option 24hours to any network in India for Local/STD calls.

The company collects one month Fixed monthly charges i.e FMC both the above plans and offers 1GB free email ID space per email.
